Farmers Market @ Mount Maunganui

Happy Easter day! It was Easter Day when we went to Mount Maunganui this time. We heard that there will have a Farmers Market on that day, so we visited Mount Maunganui again. It was so crowded early in the morning and most of the booths were selling fresh vegetable, fruits, plants, meats, honey, cheese and food. Besides Farmers Market, there were some free performances and children games can be found at there. “Photos speaks louder than words”, let’s enjoy the photos we captured on that day as it's quite fun:P

A trip to Mount Maunganui

While working in Te Puke, normally there will have 1 or 2 off days for us to rest; this is always the best time for us to have a one-day-trip to some nearby towns. As told by our friends we known from kiwi fruit packhouse, Mount Maunganui is a town in Bay of Plenty that worth to pay a visit.

We went to Mount Maunganui for more than once as there are plenty of places we can visit at there, such as the beaches, the mount, and the shops around the town.

Besides the beaches and mount, there is a Chinese restaurant nearby Countdown and Warehouse named China Town Restaurant & Take Aways. Many of our friends recommended us to try on the lunch or dinner buffet as the food is delicious and worth for the price. Yeah, the food is yummy and we enjoyed our lunch pretty much at there.

We were looking for a vinery where we can take some photos with the grapes, but we could not find one of it and finally found this Mills Reef winey and restaurant. You can enjoy your meal at the restaurant or buy your favourite wine at the wine shop.

The Fashion Island – Papamoa

During our time as kiwi packers in Te-Puke, we always visit to a town called Papamoa to satisfy our shopping desires. It takes about 20 minutes drive to Papamoa from Te-Puke. This town is famous with the Papamoa beach and Fashion Island. You can also do your grocery and household shopping at Pak’N Save, New World and Warehouse.

We spotted someone selling “Cheap Rocks Melons” on our way to Papamoa, so we get off to have a look and tasted it.

Finally, we reached Fashion Island where you can find many shops are selling clothes, accessories and shoes.

Tips: You can find free hangers from some shops such as JayJay, Supreme in NZ. This time JayJay is giving out free hanger, it helps us from saving the hanger cost.

If Fashion Island does not fulfill your shopping desires, you can continue shopping at Warehouse, New World and Pak’N Save which are located besides Fashion Island.

There are some hotels around the beach for tourists to spend their days with the lovely beach, but not for us, we got to back to Te Puke to cook the Pipi as our lunch.

Fun time with Kiwi farms

Still blogging about Te Puke? Kiwi fruit? What else we can find in this small town? Yeah, you must not miss out the vast kiwi farm. One of the famous kiwi farms is Kiwi 360. Kiwi 360 is famous with its GIANT kiwi fruit located in front of the visitor center. You can take photo with the giant kiwi fruit and climb up to the top of the kiwi fruit to have a bird eye view of the kiwi farm. There is a souvenir shop, café and KiwiKart tour that bring you go through the lush orchards.

We went to Kiwi 360 for 2^nd time during autumn time; the 1^st time was in summer.

We went to another two kiwi farms beside kiwi 360 which gives us the chance to be closer to the fruits. ^^ Kiwi Fruit tree is not too tall for us, that’s why we still can work as kiwi picker with our height, but we chose not to be a kiwi picker because it’s a very tiring job.

Heading to another kiwi farm and spotted this dried cone farm as cone season is just over.

All kiwi farms are covered by a kind of tall and flat plant called Shelter Belt,

it protects kiwi trees from big wind.

We are not too short, aren’t we? :P

Life in Te Puke

Te Puke is a peaceful with low population small town. It only becomes lively when reaches kiwi fruit season. During kiwi fruit season, the town will be full of people such as working holiday permit holders, working permit holders, students and residents from the neighbourhoods to work as kiwi packers, kiwi graders and kiwi picker jobs. Kiwi fruit season is last for 3-4 months (Mar-June each year), the best choice for accommodation is to search for home-stay at that period. You can find room-for-rent notes at the supermarkets’ notice board such as New World and Countdown, or asking the people around the town, backpacker house or lodge. Everyone in the town is kind enough to give you a hand on searching for a suitable accommodation. The average rental price at the town is NZD100 per week per head included room with bed and blanket, water and electricity usage and internet access.

We were so luckily that we met a super lovely home-stay family, Ivan & Robyn with their children, cutie grandchildren, and grandparents during our time there. They have a smart and big black dog named Boofie staying together with them, too. Ivan and Robyn treated us as part of their family and we are free to do whatever we wanted, as well as swimming (we didn’t swim because we can’t stand the cold weather). We enjoyed the dessert (ice-cream) from Ivan, bacon and egg pie baked by Robyn, and crazy moment when playing WII together with them. Beside, Robyn taught us the best way to cook steaks as different meats have different methods to cook in order to have the best taste, this is the best tips ever we have! Ivan always share the family photos and told us many stories about them, it was gorgeous! When the children and grandchildren came to visit them during weekends, they welcome us to join their family day; it was the warmest moment we had in our working holiday period. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Ivan and Robyn for your hospitality and we enjoyed every moment staying with you and your family, the house is really nice and warm. We will never forget you all, and the yummy farewell dinner prepared by Robyn and Ivan. ^^

Have you stayed in a mobile home before? Yes, we did! And this was our first time staying in a mobile home or travel trailer which is known as Caravan in NZ. Caravan is like a room with 4 tires attached to it. Due to it does not have any engine, you have to connect it to your vehicle in order for you to bring it along with you as your room at the destination.

Normally, traveler will park the caravan at Holiday Park that near to the recreation area. It is a place which offers variety of accommodation options such as camping site, caravan parking site, self-contained motel and cabins. Each caravan’s parking lot has a faucet for water usage and electricity connector for you to connect electricity to your caravan. Public toilet, washroom and kitchen are available at there, too.

Our caravan was those which are already placed in the holiday park as a room, so we did not travel around with it. It was really a special experience for us to stay in a caravan for a week.

Can you spot us? Hello~~

Opportunity shops are very common in NZ, we can find it in any town. It is a shop that selling second handed clothes, kitchenware, shoes, bags, bed sheets, curtains and etcetera. The price can be as low as 1NZD if there is a promotion. If you spare some time at these shop, you may get something nice and cheap, especially jacket or winter clothes.

Family Store is the biggest shop among 3 of them and the clothes selling at there looks nicer :)

Can’t find any night activity in Te Puke? You are definitely wrong. There is a cinema which open until late at night for mid night show in Te Puke. The size of each show room is same as the smallest show room in those big cinemas. It is quite comfortable, new and clean inside. You can get to watch the international film as well as local firm at there.

We have been drinking Comvita Manuka Honey for few years before visiting NZ, thanks Shirley for bringing it for us across the sea every time. It is really the best honey product which contains pure NZ Manuka Honey that good for health-maintaining. We used to drink UMF^® 5+ Manuka Honey from Comvita. You can take the higher UMF^® that provide better effects to your body with higher price.:P

It was so surprised to know that Comvita Visitor Centre is just location at Te Puke while we were on our way heading to the town from Maketu. It is just located near to KIWI 360 (one of the must-visit places in Te Puke). So, we dropped by to pay a visit at Comvita Visitor Centre. Kiwi Country - Te Puke

Welcome to the Kiwi Country - Te Puke. From Auckland to Te Puke, it took about 5 hours to reach there by Inter-City bus. You may get the bus ticket as low as $1NZD if you are lucky, but not for us because ours were last minute tickets. : P (Click here for InterCity website).

Te Puke is known as "Kiwifruit capital of the world" due to it's one of the main kiwifruit producers of the world. Yes, our mission getting to this small town is to search for a kiwifruit packer job during kiwi fruit season (March-June).

We stayed at Hairy Berry Backpacker house for a couple of nights as recommended by our friend due to its location is near to Trevelyan’s pack house, which is the pack house that we aimed for working over there. However, some people claims that Hairy Berry is a little expensive compared to others, you can get cheaper accommodation by staying at the lodge in town or caravan at Holiday Park.

We had no idea how to get to Hairy Berry Backpacker house from Te-Puke town although it is just a 2km-away-far distance. Luckily a kind bus driver offered to send us there, so we faster hopped into the "Not In Use" Bay Hopper bus.

Our day in Te-Puke was going smooth with the help and kindness of everyone we met there, it was too warm for us. ^^ After we got a job from Trevelyan’s pack house, we paid a visit to the town centre. Although the town centre is just occupied by 2 rows of shops along the main road, but you can find any thing you need at there, such as grocery shop, book shop, photo shop, Post Shop(Post office), library, cinema, petrol station, workshop, restaurant and etcetera.

Maori's Maketu

During the time in Te-Puke, we had a chance to stayed over a small town called Maketu which is about 11km away from Te-Puke for a couple of weeks. Maketu is located nearby beach where it is predominant by Maori population.
Without any hesitation, we drove to the famous Maketu Beach for our first time ever PIPI catching session, and it's free.

Although the Pipi and Cockle are free, but there are daily limit for each gatherer.Tips: Remember to bring your own digger and pail or plastic bag to put the Pipi/Cockle

You can cook the Pipi as one of your dishes for your lunch or dinner, we cooks Pipi soup with corn and tomato.

I believe most of the houses in Maketu have sea view because of its nice location. But I think our landlord's house is having the best view as its front door is facing the sea. We super-duper enjoy the sea view during our time at there.

Geothermal paradise - Rotorua

Located in the North island of NZ, Rotorua has been famous for its spectacular natures. Along the highway heading to Rotorua, there is a lot of geothermal area. We were too ovehelmed on our first time seeing smokes keep coming out from the ground.

Wai-o-tapu geothermal wonderland is a must visit place in Rotourua as it is one of the NZ's most beautiful geothermal sightseeing attraction. You can see pools in blue, red and yellow along the walk way while admiring the scenery.

"Lady Knox Geyser" erupts daily 10:15am. There is s a staff explains and show us on how the geyser erupts by putting some chemical thingy into the hole. The whole process takes about an hour.

Hot hot mud pool keep bubbling, Yucks!

Found a public thermal pool near Wai-o-tapu. Without hesitation, we jumped to the pool. Ahhhh~feeling so warm soaking in the pool under the chilling weather.

We also stopped by Rotourua Museum. however we didn't enter the musuem as they were alsmost close by the time we arrived. Simply snap a few shots as memory =)

Rainy Taupo

The first word I would describe when I think about Taupo is: "WET". Why I said so? This is because from the first day we reached Taupo till we left, it keeps raining all the time. The sky had never bright and Mr. Sun was totally devoured.

At least, we still able see the well-known Lake Taupo and strolling around the town.

We ordered this pizza so called "ENVY" which contained of Salami, Ham, Onion, Mushroom, Pineapple and Bacon. Very delicious... 2 thumbs up!

Unable to finish your pizza? No worries, just tear off the middle part of the pizza box following the instructions from the box and fold a coffin-like little box. It can fit 1-2 slices of pizza. Isn't it so easy and convenient? I personally love this idea so much!

A date with blueberry

We visited a blueberry farm at Ohaupo called Blueberry Country. You can PYO (Pick Your Own) blueberry from the farm and pay for it, the berries are so fresh, plus the price is a lot cheaper than in supermarket. After registered at office, we grabbed a pail and headed to the farm to have our unforgettable blueberry picking session!

Sheep World

Have you ever seen sheep in pink? Yes, we found it in Sheep World. It is located in about 45mins drive from Auckland city. Everyday 2pm, they have the sheep and dog show. Entrance fee is $25 including farm visit and the shows.

We tried one of the Asian food courts in Auckland. Every meal is served in large portion which can be shared by 2 people. Average is $10 per meal.

We tried one of the HK restaurant in Browns Bay and ordered vege with eggs in soup and beancurd with pork minced. Cost around $34 (Included 4 rices and free sky juice)

Hi ya, finally we are back to the blogsphere again after a long period of MIA. Guess what, we are currently in the North Island of New Zealand ^^ Oh well, we are doing good here. Lots of farms and vast greenery fields are around. Weather here is chilling but the sun’s glare is super strong. Sigh~
We touched down in Auckland as our first station. Stayed at a friend’s house in Browns Bay.

If you happen to come over to Browns bay, do not miss the yummy Penguino ice cream. They are famous here and received many awards. Penguino ice cream also can be found in Nelson, South Island of NZ.

Craving for Burger? You must stop by Burger Fuel, NZ’s local burger chain. They have got 3 size of burgers - Mini, Lightweight and large.

Backfire Bacon Combo. It comes with a large Burger with cheese, bacon, vege and chicken + Drink + French Fries. Drink is grabbed yourself from the fridge. They have a few choices and we picked the ‘L&P (Lemon and Paeroa) which is the local famous soft drink. Taste not bad.

It’s so great to meet up with our friend, Terence and his wife Alison in Auckland. They are young married couple with a couple of cute kids. They are so nice and touring us around the city.

I spotted this book while spending my time in a bookshop before meeting up a friend for dinner 3 years ago. I was attracted by the book title at first and decided to spend some time to read through the summary. Wow, the book is about EAT, TRAVEL and LOVE, which sounds interesting to me. So, I started to read it chapter by chapter until my friend called me up and said "Hey friend! Where are you, are you coming?" Oops, I'd forgotten the dating and rushed to meet up my friend, and of course with this entertaining and enlightening book.

Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert

The author, Elizabeth Gilbert travels to 3 different countries - Italy, India and Indonesia to find back the balance of her life after her divorce. She experiences and explores different cultures, meets different people and learns things she never learn before in New York. [EAT]In Italy, she tries and best yummy Pizza in Italy and experiences the soccer game there, but you can't find soccer game scene in the movie. [PRAY]In India, she learns how to do meditation peacefully, however she start off with frustration because she can't concentrate herself in the room.[LOVE]In Bali(Indonesia), she finds Ketut, the medicine man she met 2 years ago.I like the old man who act as Ketut in the movie, he is so cute and impressed me the most in entire movie. At the end, Liz falls in love with a Brazilian man in Bali and the story ended here.

I wouldn't say there are no differences between book and movie as movie has missed out some of the characters and nice scenes from the book. Most of the book readers would claim to have all the interesting scenes and characters to be shown in the movie. It took almost a year of period for Liz to travel along these 3 countries but I feel like the movie only took 1 months to finish up the story. Anyhow, book and movie are nice to me, Julia Roberts has made the character as lively as the book, and she is one of my favourite actresses.

Guess who is this? Yeah, she is Elizabeth Gilbert.

Belgium Part 4: Dinant

Immediately intoxicated with this enchanting scenary upon I made my foot steps here.

Belgium Part 3: Antwerp

I am glad that I still have some leisure time to travel away from Brussels after back from work during weekdays. It's all thanks to the long day time happened during the period of my stay in Belgium. You know, the sky only gets dark from 9.30 p.m. How nice!

From Brussels, if you wish to travel to other cities (within/outside Belgium), the main train station would be the Midi station which serves as the central point. There are 2 types of ticket you may consider according to your need and budget - A single/retun ticket to 1 city or a 10-single-way pass to any city. One of the benefit of the second type of the ticket is that you can share it with your friends. At the end, you might be able to save up some money.

A guy is selling food and beverage inside the train.

Antwerp was the first city I explored in my list =) It's known as a diamond land where you can see many shops selling diamonds around however I was not going there for the sake of diamond. There are still a lot of magnificient, historial and interesting landmarks to see. Due to the time contraint, I only managed to visit 10% of the tourist spots -.-'

Upon arrival at Antwerp Central station.

The Antwerp central station itself is one of the must-visit-place.

Look at the interior, it is just like a piece of antique covering by a huge iron and glass vaulted ceiling.

Japnese Golden Curry

Couple of weeks ago, we went to KLCC for a window shopping. Unexpectedly, there was a Japanese food fair. Spotted this Golden packing thingy which caught our eyes. Apparently, it was a Japanese curry powder in box from S & B brand. We always wanted to learn on how to cook Japanese curry. Without any hesitation, we grabbed one for a try. The price is quite affordable.

Although the packaging covered with Japanese words, we still managed to figure out the steps/instruction given with the images shown. :P

Very excited for our first attempt on cooking Japanese curry. Let's start with the ingredient:

a) 1 Big tomato in cubes

b) 5-6 potatoes in cubes

c) Garlic 2 slices (optional)

d) 2 medium sized onion

e) 1 carrot in cubes

f) 3/4 chicken cut into pieces

g) Golden curry 4 packs

Note: 1 box consists of 4 packs (1 pack serves 2 pax)

Step 1: Fry onion and garlic become fragrant

Step 2: Add in chicken

Step 3: Add in tomato, potatoes, carrot

Step 4: Stir fry until the chicken half cooked

Step 5: Pour in water until it cover up the mixture and add in Golden curry powder

Step 6: Stir well and leave it cook for 30mins

Right ~ Japanese curry chicken served with rice (You may serve with spaghetti, too)

Hmm, the taste is quite near to Indian curry flavour but it is not spicy at all. Suitable for those who couldn't stand with very spicy food. However, spicy lover might not appeal to it.

Refreshing Penang Trip

Approximately 5-hour-journey from KL, we finally reached our destination – Penang and straight away heading to our hotel, Berjaya Penang Resort.

Our hotel room at 27th floor. Despite the environment around the hotel was like a residential area and unattractive, the interior was kinda cozy.

First meal in Penang. Famous Char Kuay Teow with 3 big fresh prawns costs RM7 (Waited for 45min for this pricey CKT but it's quite delicious though). This stall is located in front of Heng Huat Cafe, Lorong Selamat.

Got a few bottles of sesame oil from Ghee Heong. Love the adorable babies which standing around the house of Ghee Heong. The price of sesame oils are slightly cheaper than selling in KL.

We got up to Kek Lok Si temple and visited the newly built Guan Yin statue by a 2-Minutes-cable car-ride (RM4 for return ticket). You may opt to drive up to the hill and pay RM2 for car park,too.

Colorful wishing tree near the Guan Yin statue. All you need to do is to grab a wishing ribbon by donating RM1 and write down your wishes and name then hang it on the tree :)

Had a great dinner at this romantic Ferringhi Garden Restaurant. They served western cuisine. We ordered a few types of Lobster sets. (Around RM70 per pax) Mmmmmm...*YUMMY* but expensive!

Sammi's Love Mi concert in Malaysia

It was so grateful that we have the oppotunity to join the crowd to attend Sammi's Love Mi World Tour concert on last Friday (19.03.2010) in Genting. We were extremely excited to watch our idol's concert for the first time after so many years being her loyal fans.

As per reported in newspaper, Sammi had changed around 7 different costumes throughout the concert. Average 3-4 songs per costume. From exaggerated, sexy to ordinary type. The one I prefer the most was the costumes with laser and lighting.

Long story short, the concert was fantastic and awesome with the lightning and firework effects. The reason we like Sammi so much is not only her songs but also she could sing exactly the same as what we listened from the CD or radio. This is what we call super star. LOL.

As per requested from our friend - Ngiam, we decided to blog about our trip to Bangkok last year.

This is our hotel room. We headed to our hotel (Asia hotel) as soon as we touched down at Suvarnabhumi airport. You can book via travel agent/internet. It's located at a very strategic location as the hotel is linked to the BTS station which is very convenient.

Our first stop was the Platinum Fashion Mall. If you are looking for fashionable apparels, then you should not miss out this place. A variety of food and beverage are available here, too.

1) Black Canyon coffee (You can find it inside or next to Platinum)
2) Pork rice and noodles (From Platinum's food court)

Next, Shopping malls again :)

Siam, Siam paragon, Central World

If you are not keen into shopping, perhaps you could have a try to the food at an open air roofed food stall street near Central World.

We ordered salted fish, stir fried vege and Tom Yam soup. The salted fish was selling in most of the stalls. Worth a try though.

We went to Yaowarat (China Town) to have dinner at T&K seafood and bought some local biscuits from the well known shop "lin zhen xiang" (合记林真香) for our family and friends. Both were located opposite to each other.

Dishes we ordered in T&K :) Very delicious with reasonable prices! Must try!

Chatuchak, a weekend market where could be reached by taking a BTS train to Mo Chit station. Numerous kind of items were available here, from personal to pets, household, arts, clothes, accessories, souvenirs and so forth. Most of the items sold are very affordable. It is usually very crowded and hot. It's advisable to wear shorts and T-shirts. Also, take care of your belongings and beware of pickpockets.

After experiencing Thai food, we went for western food - McD =) The Samurai pork burger was too yummy and we missed it sooooo much. Beside, their drink and french fries were a lot larger than in Msia's one!

We went to Rooftop bar (located in Baiyoke sky, tallest hotel in Thailand with 88 storeys). A good place for a laid-back night after a long walk throughout the day. You would be enjoying the live band performance while admiring the beautiful night scene of the city. In order to get up to the bar, we were required to purchase a ticket which was available in the hotel lobby. The ticket included a free drink.

During the last day, before leaving to the airport, we managed to squeeze some time to have the most popular mango dessert at Mango Tango, Siam square. The mangoes were so sweet and yummy. We were very impressed with the deco inside the shop, too.

Dinner at Ah Yat Abalone restaurant, Avenue K

Last week, I had my dinner at Ah Yat Abalone restaurant. It's the first time I been there, never thought of having my meal in this 'Abalone restaurant' until I saw their promotion set that day. I always think that the only food I can find in here is ABALONE and they're so expensive!!! I were wrong...

The promotion comes with individual set with different prices started from RM59++, RM88++, RM128++, etc.. Of course I ordered set RM59++ :p. There are 7 dishes in the set, the food came course by course and served in tiny portion for individual set.

Menu and appetizer

Dish 1: Smoked Duck (This is nice!)

Dish 2: Shark's Fin Soup (I like this shark's fin so much!!!)

Dish 3: Abalone, mushroom and Broccoli (Abalone is so 'BIG')

Dish 4: Cheesy Fried Fish + Mango and Honey Dew Salad (Yummy!)

Dish 5: Glutinous rice (Delicious!)

Dish 6: Siew Pak Choy (Vegetable)

Dessert: Sweetened Read Bean Cream (I was too full until I forgot to take photo of it, sorry :P)

Overall, the food were delicious and their service was good. They do have Chinese New Year packages and wedding packages, you may go for it if you are planning to have reunion dinner during this Chinese New Year!

Mummy's Butter Cake

Dessert time, everyone!

Presenting you our homemade butter cake...

...from our beloved mummy's secret recipe.

To bake a butter cake, you'll need these ingredients:

Sugar 200g

Butter 250g

Flour 200g

4 Eggs
Baking powder 1 teaspoon
2 Oranges

1/5 glass of water

...And steps

1. Mix butter, baking powder and sugar into the mixer until it become smooth

2. Prepare eggs into a bowl and add into the mixer. (Precious tips: Always prepare a separate bowl for every single new egg before mixing it directly with the existing eggs in the first bowl. Bad egg will spoil everything)

3. Slowly add in flour and mix well with the dough

4. Squeeze oranges to obtain the juice. If the orange juice is less than 3/4 of the glass, add in water until it reaches 3/4 of the glass.

5. Keep some orange peels in tiny foam and add into orange juice

6. Pour orange juice mixture into the dough.

7. Sprinkle with raisins (optional)

**Pre-heat oven for 10mins**

8. Put into oven and bake for 1 hour, 150°c temperature

The outcome!

Apparently, it was not that complicated. If you know nothing about baking a cake and would like to try it out, it is good to start off by giving a try on butter cake.

OMG! We can't imagine that we're actually spending our precious weekend on playing PC game. What game is so special that makes us crazy for it? Yes, Monkey Island, we are addicted to it!!!

We love Monkey Island sooo much as it is an awesome game that we've ever played (Of course there are still a lot of nice games outside). We seldom play PC game. It has been years that we didn't play PC game since the last time we play this Monkey Island.

This game was introduced by our piano teacher - Alex during secondary school time. We were not smart enough to play the game last time, so what to do? Yeah, asked teacher for some clues on the game after our piano lesson. haha... Thanks Alex for showing and teaching us how to play the game patiently.

Foot sore spots protection

I always feel feet hurt while wearing my elegant high heels even though the walking distance is very short. What gives? Shoes size? Shoes height? Feet shape problem?

Sometimes, it tends to be so clueless when you have a nice shoes but you cannot wear it contentedly. What I usually do is by using the traditional way, stick the plaster on the sore spots to reduce the pain, but it does not really work from time to time.

1118 was my best friend, Jeannie's BIG day. I supposed to blog about it earlier. My bad, due to my laziness and keep neglecting it. Anyway, hope it's not too late for now :)

Secret of Louisiana, this is where the simple and ordinary birthday celebration held.

The unique design and decoration creating a warm and romantic atmosphere. Definitely a good choice for couples.

Watson's Haul

When it comes to year end, warehouse sales would be definitely happening around. Watson stock clearance was one of our stations to catch some good bargain for the year.

This time, the 14-day-clearance was located in South City Plaza, 10a.m. to 7p.m. (21 Nov - 4 Dec). When we arrived at 9:20a.m. there was a few people carrying empty boxes while queuing up at the entrance. The queue was getting longer when it closed to the opening hour. Once the 'green light' was ON, everyone was pushing among each other in order to be the first to grab whatever was worth. Crazy!

Tips:

1. Do not bring kids along because the crowd might hurt them seriously.

2. If you plan to buy numerous items from warehouse sales, grab a BIG bag or box from there to put all your items so that you can carry them effortlessly.

Following are what we got in just within an hour of time. haha!

Foot massager RM25

Facial masks RM15 per box, Eye mask RM5 per box

RM3 Items...Well, these weren't the cheapest.

RM1 per piece! It's super duper cheap!!!

Overall, the body care stuff were quite worth to purchase. Facial and cosmetic products had limited choices. Despite most of the items they offering were from their own Watson brand, it was a great deal though! ^^

I have collected tons of souvenirs over these years. Couldn't really recall some of them were from where, who and when. Some were kept in an isolated place, some where being abandoned. (Ooops! how bad am I) :S However, I still keep most of them in place. :P

I know, I know it's kinda silly to show my souvenirs over here. In fact, it is so touching and warm when someone still remember you and spend a little time to get you something from far away when they are enjoying their vacations or busy with their business trips. Hence, I wanna keep all these precious gifts as a memory over here. :P

Me and my sis love rose bud tea like crazy. The flowery aroma makes us feel relaxing and calm. It also helps to reduce stubborn pimples and smoothen our skin. Regular drinking of rose tea will keep you stay young and beauty. If you are working long hours on your job or burning the midnight oil for your school exam preparation or projects, you may try it out, too. Girls, what are you waiting for? Grab your rose bud at your nearest shopping malls or Chinese herb shop (If you have limited budget).

Preparing of rose tea is easy. Simply add 15 buds to the teapot with hot water. (Add 3-4 buds into a cup if you are preparing for a single portion)

Tips: Normally we will add some Wolfberries (枸己） to obtain a better results.

Let's have a few pieces of Genji biscuits, too. (Thanks Joe for buying us this yummy biscuits from Jakarta).

Recently, I was craving for sushi, just without any reason :P Therefore, my sis and I came out an idea to make our own sushi. It has been ages since our first sushi making.

Here are the ingredients and tools we prepared:

How to prepare the rice? Just follow the simple steps below:

1. Cook 3 cups of rice with 3 cups of water in rice cooker

2. Add cooked HOT rice with 60ml vinegar + 45g sugar + 10g salt

3. Leave the rice aside until it is cold enough

4. You may start your sushi making now

We have eggs, tofu, cucumber, crab meat stick, sardine (yes, canned) and our favourite salmon!

Make any type as you like...

Doesn't look too bad, huh? :P
